Virtue Recovery understands that recovering from substance use is more than just “not using,” it is a lifestyle change. Virtue offers comprehensive services designed to engage guests in recovery and to build new and long-lasting skills to help our guests remain clean long-term.
Our Services Include:
Psychoeducation groups provide guests with the information they need to understand and address their addictions. Topics taught include relapse prevention, healthy relationships, and co-occurring disorders. Virtue Recovery promotes the Disease Model, and many of the psychoeducational groups are in support of this model.
Process groups provide guests the opportunity to talk about the issues bothering them and to share with peers. Learning to open and talk to others is a skill many addicts lack and is a major part of substance use recovery. In these groups, patients are provided a safe environment where they can share without fear of judgment or reprisal.
12-Step groups involve both staff and individuals from 12-step programs outside of Virtue. These groups allow guests to learn about 12-step groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics anonymous and make contacts and look for a sponsor before they leave treatment.
Meditation therapy allows our guests to find their Zen place. Using meditation techniques, our guests can lower their stress, anxiety, and pain levels. Meditation contributes to overall well-being and a healthy mind. Our experienced meditation therapists use various meditation techniques, allowing guests to take home the technique that best works for them.
Yoga therapy is offered 5 days a week. Our Yoga therapist helps our guests to relax and unlock their inner potential. Yoga therapy improves circulation, reduces stress, increases energy, provides pain relief, and creates improved mental well-being.
Music Therapy is used to address physical, emotional, and cognitive needs. After assessing each guest’s strengths and conditions, our certified music therapist provides our guests with treatment that includes creating, singing, moving to, and/or listening to music. Music therapy provides another medium for guests to address their well-being and recovery from substance addiction.
Art therapy is based on the fact that creative expression fosters healing and mental well-being. Creating art helps people open up emotions, develop self-awareness, reduce stress, and boost self-esteem. Art therapy teaches the guest that he or she has value. Our certified art therapist uses art to help patients overcome their addictions and treat withdrawal symptoms.
